What AVAC 2018 has done for me

Well, another Australian VA Conference is over.  Our 9th annual one. That makes next year the 10th annual AVAC and it will be held in March in Melbourne - where it all began!  So make sure you add the dates 15-16 March 2019 in your diaries and PLAN TO BE THERE!  Honestly, the two days taken out of your business and home life will really be worth it as it will help your business move forward and you'll make so many worthwhile connections.  Let's make this photo below, double the size next … [Read more...]

8 Weeks and counting

The Australian VA Conference in Sydney that is. It's being held at Darling Harbour on 22-23 March.  I'm flying in from Melbourne on 21st March, as will be others from Melbourne, or other cities and states and we look forward to the fun, the catch ups, the learnings and the time out from our businesses, that we experience every year. Each year I learn something new (usually several things), meet new faces in the industry, catch up with those I've known online for a long time, and get time to … [Read more...]

I'll be hosting a VA from the US and am hoping that there will be others coming from outside Australia. I could host a couple of others too and on a 2 … [Read more...]

Planning to attend a conference, or …

Still coming back down to earth after our fantastic event, the Australian VA Conference (AVAC) a couple of days ago.  It was great to meet face-to-face the names I've come to know so well over the internet for some years.  And to meet new names, people I hadn't met online before but who are venturing into the Virtual Assistant world. However, there were many who did not come, for several reasons, and a couple who didn't turn up, although they had booked to come.  I received emails of apologies … [Read more...]

Australian VA Conference this week!

Well, it's almost here.  Can't believe all the months of planning is now going to come to a halt with the event taking place on Friday and Saturday this week. If you are planning to come but haven't yet booked, it's not too late but the cut-off is Wednesday.  So get your bookings in now. If you can't attend both days, you can elect to come for just one day. I'm hoping to see a lot more Melburnians attending - it's in your home state and you don't need to worry about airfares and accommodation … [Read more...]
