VA Directory (owned by “A Clayton’s Secretary”) is a network of Virtual Assistants, primarily in Australia but with members in a few other countries too. We have been in operation, as a network, since 1996, however the owner has personally been in business since 1994. Many of our network members have been with us for 10 years and more. Each member has to meet criteria to be eligible to be members of our network and their past experience in the services they supply is anywhere from 5-40+ years ranging in many different types of administrative and online support services.
Some work their businesses full-time with multiple clients, others only part-time to work around their lifestyle schedules. Each are dedicated in their respective skill sets be it secretarial support, transcription, receptionist, phone answering services, events management, social media support, bookkeeping, website management, databases, copy writing and proofreading, etc. You name it and we pretty much have it covered.
Clients don’t have to engage the services of just one VA, but could have a mix of VAs for different services being provided, depending on their needs. This means you can choose to have a VA for just a few hours a week or month, or ad-hoc.
You can post your job above or you can go to our Business Directory tab, and look in a region of choice. We do not charge Agency fees to place a Virtual Assistant with you. The VA will invoice you direct whatever their own particular fees are. There are no added fees included in our connecting you with a VA of your choice.
Please note: Our VAs generally charge a minimum of $30+AUD per hour for basic work. For more specialised work, i.e. book-keeping, database management, transcriptions, website management, etc. rates will be higher. Rates will vary considerably depending on their location (cost of living), currency, experience and abilities. Remember, VAs are self-employed and therefore set their own rates. Many offer package rates on a monthly or project basis. VAs are usually available for the long-term and should be thought of as partners for your business, rather than someone you get for ad-hoc jobs. Finding the right VA could mean you’ll have someone working with you and your business for years to come.
The BEST thing about getting a network based VA? They have a backup support team for when you have big jobs, short turnaround times, or lots of different things to be done. And they had to meet criteria to become a member.
