Affiliate program

Virtual Assistants work from home based offices, so it’s natural that the industry would attract those who are keen to work from home, and be present for their family members.  Family are the very reason why I work from home. I wanted to be here for my 5 daughters while they were in school. They’re now grown up and have left home but I’m still here and at home. Probably just as well too as my husband had a serious accident just over 3 months ago and he’s needed me to be here for him.

Readers may or may not know that I have an Affliate Program available on my website.  This is to promote items on my VA Shop, which include books, webhosting, VA Directory membership, VA Coaching and a few other things mainly related to being a VA.  I have a number of Affiliates signed up for the program but very few who actually do anything about it.  And then suddenly two weeks ago my booksales started to increase and I contacted a couple of purchasers to find out how they found out about my book, only to find they’d both been directed by the same person – one of my affiliates. I contacted her to find out what she’d been doing, as several sales have been generated, and she informs me she is promoting via Facebook and Twitter.

So, if you’re an affliate for any program, have you been doing the same?  This can add some extra income to your VA business and if you get adept at signing up and operating as an Affiliate, you can also teach your clients to do the same.  Just one more service you can provide, and benefit from, as a VA.
