I was chatting to a client the other day about ways to find blogs to comment on and I asked them if they knew about Google Alert? They didn’t. So I explained about how this very simple tool can assist you daily in your business.
I don’t know how long I’ve been using it. Their system doesn’t tell me. However, I’ve used it for many clients and also for myself. Simple really. Click on the link above and then enter in a keyword or phrase (which should be in quotes ” “) and then tell it when you want it delivered. I have mine delivered daily. And I have multiple alerts set up.
These keep me informed of when someone is writing about a topic of interest to me, or perhaps publishing something about my business or my name. It also helps me keep abreast of anything written about my clients. If you’re looking for blogs or sites relating to your topic then Google Alert is ideal to help you keep track – saves you spending hours doing a lot of searches. And the content that’s being delivered is fresh or updated.

I agree with you – Google alerts are really quite handy. I have them set up for my name, for topics of interest and also for keywords I am targeting to rank well in search engines – Tells me who is saying what.
