“Kathie is the owner of “A Clayton’s Secretary” and as part of her business she now offers coaching to established VAs and also to new VAs looking at starting their own business.
Kathie is a truly amazing woman who has worked from home for over 13 years whilst raising 5 children and still to this day is as passionate and excited by her business and the VA industry as a whole. Kathie has a tremendous amount of knowledge about all aspects of secretarial and also website designing, builidng, hosting, database creation and management as well as looking after small and large company like secretariat roles.
Kathie has now started a coaching program for new and established VAs to share her knowledge and technical expertise and to help them in all aspects of starting and growing their business. The program is self paced over 10 weeks with online chat sessions each fortnight which are a fabulous idea to network with fellow VAs about business generally but also to help if some are stuck with any part of the program. The program shows a VA what needs to be done to set up her / his business in regards to writing a Business Plan, if you need to seek any permission from Council etc, finding a good accountant etc, equipment required, software etc. It is a great place to start to ensure you set up your business correctly. Keeping in mind that each State and even members from overseas are welcome to participate in the program and that each individual business owner must ensure they are following their own state and country rules and regulations in regards to having a business at home. All are different but Kathie’s course reminds you of what may need to be done.
I’ve had my business for just over 2 years and I found the course to be very beneficial as it prompted me to look into areas I hadn’t even thought necessary. I would highly recommend the coaching program for all new and even those established VAs who would like to ensure they have all areas of their business covered.
