ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT

Secretariats for Associations (Association management). Is your committee so busy it can't keep up with it all?  Our services include membership registrations and database, membership enquiries, information sent out, receipt of mail (postal address), dedicated phone line, minutes of meetings, reporting to committees, setting up functions and educationals, nametags, registration tables, banking of monies and reporting to the treasurer, etc.  Think of the advantage of not having to rent an office, buy equipment and software, when you can engage the services of a home-based secretary who already has everything at hand.  In effect, you have a FREE office and only have to pay $$ per hour for the service, plus expenses such as stationery, printing, postage, faxing, etc.  A number of our members have experience in this field and are waiting to service your association!  Price on application - can be charged hourly, monthly or annually.  Service outline attached. TRANSCRIPTIONS

We have experienced medical, legal, general audio and digital transcriptionists on our team.  We can transcribe from micro, mini and ordinary audio tapes.  Digital files of all formats can be transcribed using various software programs, including Quickscribe, Winscribe, Express Scribe in MP3, .dss, .wav and other formats.  Medical terminology capabilities.  As a large number of our team are based in Australia, for US, UK and other countries, this can mean a turnaround time that is very quick.  We also have experienced transcriptionists in the UK and USA thereby providing quick turnaround time for those in the southern hemisphere.

Did you know that there is a big difference between the 'audio' hour and 'transcription' hour?  An audio tape (or digitial recording) can take somewhere between 3-6 hours per hour of audio to transcribe.  This is because there are many variables involved: speed of speech, accents, background noise, more than one voice speaking, terminologies used, bad quality recording.  To keep your costs down it would be good if the recording had one voice at a time, at slower than normal speech, clear diction, no background noise. Quality, clarity, number of people speaking and speed of speech all affect how long it takes to transcribe a recording.  Other things that can add to the length of time to type the recording are:  accents, terminologies, how close the microphone was, background noises, quality recording and tapes/media.  Wish to request support?  Click here ...

Resumes, reports, thesis, manuals, books, newsletters, letters, mail merges and mail outs. All types of word-processing, including use of graphics.  Also spreadsheets and desktop publishing. You can fax handwritten documents to us, we can email them back to you, ready to run off on your printer, saved to your disk, or to be edited and updated by yourself if you wish. In other words, we do all the work for you, providing you with a professional finish to your documents. Our clients are primarily individuals and small businesses - those who neither need a full-time secretary, nor can afford one. We're the secretary you need when you haven't got a secretary! Do you have something to sell? Want to do it on eBay but not sure how? Need to organise a trip overseas?  What about all those late night overseas phone calls to organise the trip?  Do you know the 'lay of the land' to arrange your itinerary?  Why not engage the services of a local home-based secretary to make those calls and arrangements for you at the cost of local call charges, instead of overseas charges?  The secretary can arrange your itinerary, make the contacts for you during regular business hours and relate the information back to you, either by email, or by fax.   Contact Kathie for further details.

ABOUT OUR SECRETARIES

Each secretary or virtual assistant works as an independent contractor in their own business.  Some work full-time and some part-time and also in temporary positions.  Because they work independently, prices may vary amongst the group, so feel free to shop around.  Please understand that until the work can be sighted, it is sometimes difficult to accurately price a job.
