Negotiations are underway for the Medical Centre Work I recently mentioned to everyone. I have some members who have indicated an interest but suspect I'm going to need 2 or 3 more.
To start with, you will be required to be available at an allotted time to receive calls from nursing staff who may not be attending work that day, and then will be required to phone around for a replacement staff member, then enter it into a roster on excel and send back to the centre.
Outcome : 7 members were rostered to receive and log calls at their home offices, find replacement staff and report to the medical centre. A database of staff and their contact details was supplied and kept up to date for members to access.

Teleconference company requires transcript of tapes of meetings on a regular basis. They are engaged by their clients to get the transcripts done.
Outcome : Several members have been engaged at different times to do tape transcripts. The client usually couriers the tapes to location of secretary.
Sample enquiry:
Client located in remote France has digital transcriptions to email. Documents are of legal nature. Could we handle doing the transcriptions and send the typed documents back?.
Outcome : Successfully achieved. Client could sleep whilst the work was being done here in Australia. The time difference meant he was sending the files to us at the end of his day and they arrived at the beginning of ours. The cost was attractive to him too - with the charges being in Australian dollars. Client has been serviced since October 1997 and since referred other clients in France and South Africa for the same type of service.
Similar work transference has been provided for US based clients also.

A Body Corporate is looking for someone to regularly take minutes of their monthly evening meetings from 8:00pm to approximately 11:00, but could go to midnight sometimes. Client required conversion of word documentation to html in Dreamweaver and then for files to be transferred via FTP to their intranet for staff viewing. Over 1000 files involved.
Outcome : Five members were engaged for the conversion process which amounted to several thousand pages and three members carried out the file transfer process. Not all operators were in the same state as the client. There will be further work of this kind transpiring.
